Local Guilds Support Craft Spectacular

Wollongong Handweavers and Spinners Group, the Wollongong Lace Group and the Wollongong Doll Club will once again be attending the Annual Dapto Art & Craft Show- Illawarra Craft Spectacular.

It is an opportunity for intertested members of the public to experience and try the tradional arts of spinning, weaving, lace making and tatting, doll making and collecting.

These groups are committed to keeping these tradional crafts alive and their memberships are open to anyone interested in learning or wishing meet other people with similar interests in these crafts. These Guilds are inviting the public to come down to the show, members are more than happy to answer any questions the public have about these tradional crafts.

Stall Holders Wanted

Why have a Stall at The 8th Annual Dapto Art & Craft Show "Illawarra Craft Spectacular" ? The show is an opportunity to take your products directly to a regional market and reach shoppers that don't always travel to attend big craft shows in Captitol Cities. The show also works cooperatively with a variety of local craft guilds giving traders an opportunity to reach their membership base. The Show is an opportunity to sell directly to the public and promote your Web Based or Mail Order business. Last year event was featured in Australian Patchwork and Quilting Vol16 No9. The Event this year will be promoted through all forms of local media including Newpapers, TV, Radio and Craft Magazines.

Illawarra Craft Spectacular

Get ready for a weekend of inspirational craft, Patchwork & Quilting and more while you Shop Till You Drop at Illawarra Community Services Inc. , Craft Spectacular at the Dapto Ribbonwood Centre, 93-105 Princes Hwy, Dapto. Over the weekend there will be stall selling all your craft needs including quilting supplies, beading supplies, paper crafts, jewllwery and more plus FREE craft workshops including beading, knitting, paper crafts, applique and more for adults and children plus the "Men's Shed" featuring Home Brewing Demonstrations, wood turning and pyrographic art. Why travel to the Sydney shows come along and be inspired by the exhibition of craft by local residents. The Show with something for everyone. Refreshments available all weekend.
